Eric Lindblom was one of the three Swedes, known as the "Three Lucky Swedes," who became famous for being early participants in the great Klondike Gold Rush during the final years of the 19th century.
Born and raised in Härjedalen, Sweden, Lindblom emigrated to the United States in 1886, where he initially worked as a tailor. When news of gold discoveries in Alaska spread, he borrowed money and headed north, determined to try his luck. Once there, he teamed up with two other Swedes, and together they discovered a massive gold deposit. They formed a mining company that became incredibly successful, earning them an estimated several hundred million dollars.
Lindblom wisely invested part of his fortune in a hotel resort in California, where he spent his later years. He passed away in his private suite in 1928, having lived a life marked by incredible fortune and success.
